Outer Banks Campgrounds
For those of you who like to camp, the Outer Banks is a great place to do it, with many Outer Banks campgrounds from which to choose. Many campers like the spring and fall seasons when the weather is warm enough to enjoy most outdoor activities and crowds and heat are not as intense as in summer.
Some private campgrounds are open only during the summer, but others are open from about March to November, or even all year around. Facilities available vary widely and most Outer Banks campgrounds are found on Hatteras Island. The National Park Services operates four campgrounds.
This page lists the campgrounds from north to south.
